Accommodation Terms & Conditions
Part 1: General
- It is mandatory for every Furen International School student, regardless of age, to stay in a school-sanctioned hostel, as stated under Schedule C (Miscellaneous Fee) of the Student Contract.
- Unless otherwise specified, each accommodation agreement has a minimum term of 12 months and will be renewed according to the student’s contract period or until the expiry of the Grade 12 Student Contract.
- If there is any change of bed, room or hostel, accommodation fees will be adjusted according to the applicable rates.
- Registration Fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Costs incurred for repairing damages or replacing missing items will be deducted from the Security Deposit. The remaining balance (without interest) will be refunded within 7 working days after check-out.
Part 2: Termination
- No refund will be provided if the accommodation contract is terminated before its expiry date.
- The school reserves the right to terminate the tenancy without refund if verified complaints are received from the landlord or neighbours. Investigations may include CCTV footage and reports from relevant authorities.
- The contract will be terminated immediately if the student is expelled from the hostel or from Furen International School. The remaining accommodation fees are non-refundable, and the student must vacate the hostel within 7 days. This also applies to students who no longer hold a valid Student Pass under FIS.
Part 3: Relocation
- If relocation is required, appropriate arrangements will be made for all affected students.
- A new Student Accommodation Contract must be signed for the new premises.
- Accommodation fees will be based on the new hostel’s conditions, facilities and prevailing rates.
- Any existing accommodation fees already paid (where applicable) will be transferred to the new accommodation contract.
Important Notice: By signing the Student Accommodation Contract, students and parents acknowledge that they have read, understood and agreed to comply with all accommodation terms, hostel rules and regulations.
